Things in the home that double as organizers

We all have things in are home that we use on a daily basis that can double as organizing devices.  It isn't something that we really think about, so we tend to look at the diversity of some products that we alreay own.

 

Utensil hanger—
works great for hanging necklaces on that you wear often. Hang this in your closet or on the inside closet door.

 

Use nail polish ---
to color code your keys

 

Business card holder
hold packets of nutri-sweet or flavored creamers

 

Mini Laundry Bag—

for small items that are in the dishwasher that always, end up on the bottom and melt.

 

Sandbox toys—spray with a garden hose and wash the toys and the holder all at one time

 

Great for in a suitcase to hold hair accessories, combs, brushes, ribbons etc.

 

Matchbox

Hold a small sewing kit

Add rings and small pins when traveling

Keep safety pins when traveling

 

Magnetic clip

To hang recipe on and attach to the stove

Keep notes together on the refrigerator for each family member (color coordinate with childs' favorite color)

 

Toilet paper roll—

To slide extension cords through for hanging

 

Rubber bands—

To attach around the end of a hanger for camisoles and shells

 

Tissue box—(for in the garage)

For plastic storage bags

 

Paper towel tubes

For rolling up scarves to keep them, wrinkle free

Rolling posters and large pictures to keep from tearing

For wrapping mini lights around so they don't tangle

 

Shower Caddy—

To hang on the outside faucet so you can hold soap, brushes etc. to wash your hands (or the kids' hands)

A desk file organizer—

Use in the kitchen to hold cookie sheets or lids from pots and Tupperware or Rubbermaid

 

Contac lens case

Store extra pills and aspirin in your purse or pocket

 

CD Case

Hold recipes while you are cooking and they won't get dirty

 

Address Return Stickers—

Place one of these on everything that you let someone else borrow

 

Napkin Holder—

Insert all of the bills as they come in, so you know what needs to be paid and when

 

Packing Christmas Gifts

Pack them with popcorn and they will arrive safe and sound. Saves on bubble wrap!

 

No purse storage—

Use a binder clip and attach your key and a few dollars for that nighttime stroll. You have your key handy and a dollar or two if you want to purchase a drink

 

Dustpan Retrieval System

Use a dustpan, for picking up children's small toys it goes a lot faster.
