How to make a Home Inventory Filing System

Has your insurance agent given you ideas of how to keep your records in case you have to file a claim?
Did they give you a list of what information that you will need to give them in case of a fire or casualty such as a robbery?

There are several books on the market that explain what to do and there are sites that have written booklets and manuals to help you along. A matter of fact your agent may have supplied you with something along these lines too. 

I bet most of you have put them in a drawer and haven't used them. WHY NOT?

Probably because most of the things in there either didn't pertain to your family, it didn't give enough information or it just seemed like too big of a job to tackle and it didn't seem important.
