Is your entire world filled with clutter

It is EVERYWHERE!

Everywhere you look there is something laying around, out of place or in your way; at home, in the office, in your car out in the garage and in your pockets?

Let’s spend one day of your time getting rid of some of the clutter and then see how good you feel. It will give you the incentive to go on and eliminate more things that are bothering you and cluttering up your life.

It is easy to do, won’t take much time and your world will seem so much brighter and your life will be on it’s way to CLUTTER FREE!

Just think of all of the things that you can live without:

  1. Go through your closet and pull out everything that you don’t wear any more, is too small, doesn’t fit right, doesn’t match anything else that you wear or hasn’t been mended in over 6 months and get rid of it.
  2. Go through your pantry and get rid of anything that is outdated or that you won’t use before the expiration date.
  3. Get rid of outdated medical supplies you have stored in your bathroom.
  4. Clean out all of your jacket and coat pockets.
  5. Clean out the glove compartment and the trunk in your car.
  6. Clean out your freezer and get rid of anything that is freezer-burned.
  7. Ugh, get rid of all of those outdated magazines and catalogs –donate them to a nursing home or assisted living.
  8. Go through the kids school papers and hang the ones that are the newest, put some in a children’s scrap book for remembrance and get rid of the rest.
  9. Fill a file folder with all of the receipts and papers that need to be filed and keep it on your desktop for when you have more time. Important papers need to be put into a safe immediately!
  10. Get rid of everything that is broken (your not going to fix it if you haven’t in the last 6 month),
  11. donate (Goodwill) all of those eyesore things that you don’t know why you are keeping,
  12. Pick up the things that are lying around that you did not have time to put away and put them in a basket to disperse of later when you have time.
  13. Sweep up the floors and empty the garbage; unbelievably, it makes you feel like you have thrown out your problems.
  14. Take everything off the tables, shelves and floors that is in your way or makes it look FULL (cluttered) and put them in a box, donate them or give them away (family or friends).
  15. Sweep out the garage, put tools where they belong and hang up anything that is leaning against the walls.
  16. Empty off the desk; the only thing that should be on here is what you are working on for the moment, if necessary, hang another shelf or add another work area for organizers to be stored on.
  17. Add a bulletin board to the inside of a cabinet door for all of those little notes you have lying around.
  18. Clean out your purse and wallet; what is all in there that you really ‘don’t need’!
  19. Purchase a three bin sorting basket for next to the washing machine; take off your clothes and throw in the right bin, you will know when you have enough for a load of clothes. (This can be kept in a closet or laundry room)
  20. Make a to-do-list of your next ‘clutter eliminating’ project.

Now you have the major idea of the benefits there are to eliminating clutter in your life. You will have touched on just about every area in your daily life and can see a difference without the clutter. It helps to get rid of all of the negative aspects, gives you new focus, decreases stress and anxiety, eliminates the depression of having your world close in on you and opens up your world to the better things in life.
